GDPR

This page is a short guide to how College-Paper.com applies the EU General Data Protection Regulation and its UK equivalent. The full account of what we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy, and the rules for orders are in the Terms and Conditions. Where this summary and the Privacy Policy seem to differ, the Privacy Policy applies.

Who is responsible for your data

College-Paper.com is operated by PVexperts (“we”, “us”), the controller of the personal data collected through the site. We decide why and how that data is used, and we answer every request about it.

Each use of your data rests on one of four grounds.

  • The contract. It covers running your account, delivering your orders and writing to you about them.
  • Legitimate interests. They cover taking payments safely, preventing fraud, answering questions before you order, measuring how the site is used and, where the law allows it, sending promotional emails.
  • Consent. We ask for it where the law requires it for promotional emails, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligations. These cover payment and accounting records and lawful requests from authorities.

Promotional emails always carry an unsubscribe link, so you can stop them whenever you like.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can ask us to restrict how it is used, or to send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of it, and an objection to direct marketing is always honored. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

How to use them

Write to support@college-paper.com from the email address on your account. We may ask for details that confirm the request comes from you, and we answer within one month. A verified request to delete an account is completed within 14 days, apart from records the law obliges us to keep.

How to complain

If our answer does not satisfy you, or you would rather not deal with us at all, you can complain to a data protection authority, in particular the one in the country where you live or work.

How long we keep data

Account and order records stay for as long as your account is in use and then only as long as disputes, accounting and the law require, never longer than 10 years after your last use. Our own records of site visits and order-form use are kept for 13 months, and an email address typed into the order form without an order being placed is kept for up to 45 days.
