College-Paper.com is operated by PVexperts (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). The Company decides how the personal data described in this Privacy Policy is used and is its controller. Words with capital letters, such as Account, Customer, Order, Support and Writer, have the meanings given in the Terms and Conditions.
Article 1. Scope
1.1 This policy covers every person who visits the Website, writes to Support or places an Order, whether or not they hold an Account.
1.2 Browsing the Website needs no Account. Placing an Order does.
1.3 Websites that this Website links to, WhatsApp among them, follow their own privacy policies.
Article 2. Data the Company Collects
2.1 For an Account, the Company collects an email address, which every Account needs, together with the name, phone number and country the order form asks for and any time zone the Customer sets.
2.2 For each Order, the Company keeps the instructions, the uploaded files, the messages exchanged with Support and the Writer, the order history, and any ratings and feedback the Customer leaves.
2.3 An email address typed into the order form reaches the Company as soon as it is entered, whether or not an Order follows. The Company’s own records of order-form use keep only its domain, the part after the @ sign.
2.4 Card payments are made through third-party payment processors. The Company never receives or stores a full card number. It sees the payment status and limited details, such as the last digits of the card, the country where it was issued and the processor’s fraud signals.
2.5 When a payment has to be verified, the Company may ask for material such as a screenshot of the charge in online banking. That material is used only for the check and is deleted once the check is done.
2.6 The Company keeps its own records of visits to the Website and of how the order form is used. They include the IP address and the country it points to, the type of browser and device, the pages visited, the page that led to the Website and the cookies described in Article 11.
2.7 Messages sent to Support by email or through WhatsApp are kept with the conversation, along with the name and number the sender uses on WhatsApp.
Article 3. What Writers See
3.1 A Writer sees the instructions and files of the Order they are working on. A Writer never sees the Customer’s name, email address, phone number or payment details.
3.2 Whatever the instructions and files contain reaches the Writer as it is. Customers are therefore asked to keep personal data out of both.
Article 4. Purposes and Legal Bases
4.1 The Company uses personal data only for the purposes below. Each rests on a legal basis recognized by the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the Service, the Account and each Order | Performance of the contract |
| Taking payments, preventing fraud and keeping the Website secure | Legitimate interests, and legal obligations for payment and accounting records |
| Answering Support requests | The contract, or legitimate interests before an Order exists |
| Emails about Orders and the Account | Performance of the contract |
| Promotional emails | Consent, or legitimate interests where the law allows them |
| Measuring how the Website is used and improving it | Legitimate interests |
| Complying with the law and answering lawful requests from authorities | Legal obligation |
4.2 Every promotional email carries an unsubscribe link, and anyone can opt out of promotional messages at any time.
Article 5. Who Receives Personal Data
5.1 The Company shares personal data only with recipients that need it for the purposes in Article 4. They fall into these groups.
- Payment processors and banks.
- Hosting and IT providers, including the service that delivers the Website’s fonts.
- Email delivery providers.
- The customer messaging provider that receives WhatsApp messages sent to Support.
- Professional advisers and public authorities, when the law requires it.
- Other websites and services operated by the Company, where they service a Customer’s Orders and Account.
5.2 The Company does not sell personal data.
Article 6. International Transfers
6.1 The Company’s providers may process personal data outside the country where a person lives, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Such transfers rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Article 7. Retention
7.1 Account and Order records are kept while the Account is in use, and afterwards for as long as they are needed for disputes, accounting and legal obligations. They are never kept longer than 10 years after the Account was last used.
7.2 The Company’s records of visits and order-form use are kept for 13 months. An email address typed into the order form without an Order being placed is kept for up to 45 days.
7.3 Payment verification material is deleted as soon as the check is done. Data used for promotional emails is kept until the person unsubscribes.
7.4 A verified request to delete an Account is completed within 14 days, except for records the law requires the Company to keep.
Article 8. Rights Under the GDPR
8.1 A person in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom may access their personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use and receive it in a portable format. They may also object to its use, and an objection to direct marketing is honored at any time. Consent, where the Company relies on it, can be withdrawn whenever the person chooses.
8.2 Anyone may complain to a data protection authority, in particular the one in the country where they live or work.
8.3 Requests go to support@college-paper.com, sent from the email address on the Account. The Company may ask for information that confirms the requester’s identity, and it answers within one month. The GDPR page sums up these rights in brief.
Article 9. California Residents
9.1 The Company does not sell personal information. California residents can ask what personal information the Company holds about them and ask for it to be deleted, by writing to support@college-paper.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.
Article 10. Children
10.1 The Service is not directed at anyone under 16. If the Company finds that it holds personal data belonging to a child under 16, it deletes that data.
Article 11. Cookies and Browser Storage
11.1 The Website relies on a small number of cookies and browser storage items. The main ones are listed below.
- A session cookie keeps the Customer signed in to the Account. It expires after 30 days without use.
- First-party cookies named
es_aid,es_firstandes_lastremember how a visitor found the Website, for example through a campaign link or a referring site. Only the Company’s own systems read them. Thees_lastcookie lasts up to 30 days, and the other two up to 400 days. - Browser storage remembers the currency last chosen in the order form, whether the cookie notice has been dismissed, and lets an open page refresh itself after a site update.
11.2 The Website uses no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies from other companies. The WhatsApp button is a plain link, and nothing is loaded from WhatsApp until the visitor taps it.
11.3 A short notice at the top of the Website tells a first-time visitor that cookies are used and links to this policy. Pressing OK hides it, and the browser remembers that choice.
11.4 Cookies can be blocked or deleted in the browser’s settings. Without the session cookie, signing in to the Account does not work.
Article 12. Security
12.1 Every page of the Website is served over HTTPS. Staff access to personal data is limited to people who need it for their work, and card data stays with the payment processors.
12.2 No system is perfectly secure. Customers should keep their password private and report any suspected misuse of their Account to Support at once.
Article 13. Changes and Contact
13.1 Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
13.2 Questions about this policy, and any privacy request, can be sent to support@college-paper.com.
